A responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces announced that air defense systems intercepted, early this Saturday morning, ten Iranian missiles that entered Jordanian airspace and were targeting the Kingdom's territory, and they were intercepted and shot down.

The source confirmed that the missiles were dealt with according to operational procedures and defensive measures in place, to preserve the sovereignty of the Kingdom and the security of its airspace, and to ensure the safety of citizens.

He added that the interception and downing operation resulted in no human injuries or material damage, noting that Royal Engineering Corps teams began their tasks at the sites of shrapnel fall, and worked to deal with and secure them according to technical and security procedures in place.

The source pointed out that the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to monitor the Kingdom's airspace and follow various developments, while maintaining the highest levels of readiness and preparedness to deal with any threat according to the rules of engagement in place.
