The Jordanian Armed Forces announced today, Tuesday, the interception and downing of four missiles that entered the kingdom's airspace coming from Iranian territory, confirming that the operation was carried out with high efficiency and without any human casualties or material damage.

The Jordan News Agency quoted a responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, that air defense systems dealt with the missiles within operational procedures aimed at protecting the kingdom's sovereignty, security, and the safety of citizens.

The source explained that Royal Engineering Corps teams began handling the fragments that fell in several locations, according to approved technical and security procedures, while taking necessary measures to secure the sites and preserve the safety of citizens and property.

The source affirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to perform their duties with the highest levels of readiness and preparedness, while monitoring field developments and dealing with any threat that may target the security of the kingdom or its airspace.

He stressed that any attempt to undermine Jordan's sovereignty or violate its airspace will be met with all firmness, according to the approved engagement rules and in a manner that achieves the national interest and maintains the security and stability of the kingdom.
