A senior military source in the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces – the Arab Army announced that air defense systems shot down early this morning eight Iranian missiles that were targeting the Kingdom's territory.

The source confirmed that the interception was carried out in accordance with the approved defensive and operational procedures, to preserve the Kingdom's sovereignty, protect its airspace, and ensure the safety of citizens.

He pointed out that the incidents did not result in any injuries or material damage, while teams from the Royal Engineering Corps handled the shrapnel that fell in several locations and secured it according to approved technical and security procedures.

The military source stressed that the armed forces continue to monitor the airspace with the highest levels of readiness, affirming that they will deal with any threat according to the approved rules of engagement.

He called on citizens to obtain information from official sources and to refrain from spreading rumors and untrustworthy news.
