The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's project (Masam) to clear Yemeni lands of mines managed to remove 1,700 mines in various regions of Yemen during the third week of July 2026, including 70 anti-tank mines, 23 anti-personnel mines, 1,600 unexploded ordnances, and 5 explosive devices.

The Masam team in Aden governorate removed 11 anti-personnel mines, 22 anti-tank mines, 957 unexploded ordnances, and 5 explosive devices in Aden city, 10 unexploded ordnances in Qatabah district in Al-Dhale governorate, one anti-tank mine in Hays district in Al Hudaydah governorate, and 12 anti-personnel mines and 589 unexploded ordnances in Al-Mukalla district in Hadramout governorate.

In Midi district in Hajjah governorate, the team removed 46 anti-tank mines and 99 unexploded ordnances; in Ain district in Shabwa governorate, it removed one unexploded ordnance; and in Taiz governorate, the team removed one anti-tank mine in Al-Makha district, 20 unexploded ordnances in Dhubab district, and 12 unexploded ordnances in Salah district.

Thus, the number of mines removed since the beginning of July has risen to 4,286 mines, while the total number of mines removed since the start of the Masam project has reached 575,411 mines, after they were randomly planted in various Yemeni lands to claim innocent lives of children, women, and the elderly, and to sow fear in the hearts of the safe.
