A Kuwaiti border crossing with Iraq was repeatedly targeted by drones on Thursday, with official statements describing it as an aggressive attack, and authorities reported no casualties.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced that the Abdali border crossing was repeatedly targeted by hostile drones on Thursday, and the ministry's spokesperson, Colonel Staff Saud Al-Attwan, said that specialized teams immediately responded to the incident, handling the attack and taking necessary measures to secure the site in coordination with relevant authorities.

He added that inspection and explosive disposal teams from the Ground Force conducted sweeping and securing operations, and removed drone debris according to approved technical procedures to ensure the site's safety and security.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense affirmed that the armed forces continue to perform their duties and tasks with high efficiency, amid constant readiness and permanent preparedness to protect the country's borders and safeguard its security and stability.

Meanwhile, the official spokesperson for the General Fire Force, Brigadier Mohammed Al-Gharib, stated that firefighting teams from the Al-Subiyah and Abdali centers managed to control a fire that broke out at the Abdali border crossing in northern Kuwait after it was targeted by hostile drones. He confirmed no casualties, with losses limited to material damage.

Furthermore, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed in a statement the state's condemnation and denunciation of the continued aggression by Iran and its proxies against the country, which targeted the Abdali border crossing, in a flagrant violation of the country's sovereignty, a direct threat to its security and stability, and a grave violation of international law, the UN Charter, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817.

The ministry stressed that persisting in these blatant and repeated attacks constitutes a dangerous escalation and a threat to regional security and stability, reflecting a hostile approach that is unjustifiable and unacceptable, reiterating Kuwait's full and inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter, and taking all necessary measures to preserve its sovereignty, protect its territory and resources, and maintain its security and stability.
