Health Ministry officials in the Gaza Strip reported today that the occupation army killed at least 5 people, including a 9-year-old girl, in an airstrike and gunfire in the Strip.

According to Asharq, another airstrike targeting a workshop in the al-Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City killed 4 people. Witnesses said three Israeli missiles struck the location.

The new escalation comes as leaders of the Hamas movement visit Cairo for a new round of discussions on implementing the second phase of US President Donald Trump's plan for Gaza.

Sources familiar with the talks said the discussions include Hamas disarmament and Israeli army withdrawal, noting that no progress has been made so far.

It is worth noting that about two million Palestinians currently live in a narrow coastal strip controlled by Hamas, most of them in temporary tents and buildings damaged by the war.
