An oil tanker was hit by an unknown projectile 8 nautical miles east of the city of Lima in Oman. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) stated that the projectile struck the left side of the tanker, causing a fire while it was sailing south, with no injuries or environmental impact reported.
The authority confirmed that the relevant authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident, urging caution and reporting any suspicious activities.
