The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Saturday that it was continuing to target Ukrainian ports and ships it said were used for military purposes.
In a statement, the ministry said drones had targeted a cargo ship in the port of Yuzhny and two other ships in the port of Odesa in southwestern Ukraine.
The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that the targeted ships were transporting cargo for the Ukrainian army.
The ministry had previously announced in recent days that it had launched attacks on military defense industry facilities in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv and ports in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.
The ministry also announced targeting the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk on the night of Friday/Saturday.
Since February 24, 2022, Russia has been carrying out a military attack on its neighbor Ukraine, demanding that Kyiv abandon joining Western military entities as a condition for ending it, which Kyiv considers 'interference' in its affairs.
