Two Palestinians were injured and property damaged Tuesday evening in two attacks carried out by Israeli settlers in the northern and central West Bank, as the army raided several areas and arrested a Palestinian.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA said two young men were injured with wounds and bruises in the settlers' attack on the town of Beita in the northern West Bank.

It added that this came shortly after the settlers attacked the 'Al-Dhahra' area on the outskirts of the town and cut down electricity poles.

It reported clashes in the area after residents confronted the settlers' attack, with two young men injured with wounds and bruises.

WAFA also reported that settlers held an ambulance and attacked its crew in the same area.

Also in the northern West Bank, the agency said the Israeli army arrested a young man during a raid on the village of Anza south of Jenin.

It explained that army forces 'raided the village and arrested the young man Izz al-Din Ziyad Sadaqa from in front of his family's shop.'

For its part, Palestine Radio (government-run) said the Israeli army raided the towns of Osarin and Aqraba, southeast of Nablus.

In the central West Bank, the radio said settlers stoned a Palestinian vehicle near the village of Al-Mughayyir east of Ramallah, causing material damage.

The army also raided the towns of Deir Ghassana and Sinjil north of the city.

In the southern West Bank, WAFA reported that the Israeli army handed over demolition notices for ten homes, agricultural rooms, and a park in the hamlets of Humsa and Soba west of Hebron, for the purpose of paving a settlement road.

According to a report by the Commission of Resistance to the Wall and Settlements on July 6, settlers committed 3,488 attacks during the first half of this year, including attacks on Palestinian villages, house burnings, shootings, land seizures, and establishment of outposts, resulting in the deaths of 17 Palestinians.

About 750,000 settlers live in 141 settlements and 224 outposts in the West Bank, including 250,000 in East Jerusalem.

Palestinian authorities and human rights organizations accuse settlers of carrying out daily attacks aimed at displacing Palestinians and seizing more land.

The West Bank has seen an escalation in attacks by the Israeli army and settlers since October 2023, resulting, according to official Palestinian data, in the deaths of 1,179 Palestinians and injuries to about 13,000, in addition to the arrest of nearly 24,000 Palestinians.
