Taiz city witnessed a massive rally yesterday, Thursday, in support of the battle for liberation and restoring state institutions, and in support of the Presidential Leadership Council's decisions aimed at protecting Yemeni sovereignty and ending the Houthi militia's coup.

Crowds from various districts of the governorate flocked to Taiz city, representing a wide range of political and social components, parties and organizations, civil society organizations, as well as dignitaries and social figures.

The rally participants raised slogans in support of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Muhammad al-Alimi, and backing for the battle to restore the republic and extend state authority over all Yemeni territories, and to protect national sovereignty and the dignity of the Yemeni people.

A statement issued by the rally on behalf of the people of Taiz governorate emphasized that the governorate has paid a heavy price in defense of the state, its republican system, freedom, and dignity, stressing that the will of Yemenis is stronger than to be broken, and that the state project will remain, while the coup will inevitably perish.

The statement highlighted the pivotal role of Taiz governorate in adopting the comprehensive national project, as it is the living national conscience and the fortress on whose walls the projects of imamate and tyranny have shattered, affirming that it will remain at the forefront until state institutions are restored, the coup is ended, and republican authority is extended over the entire national territory.

It explained that the imamate project, old and new, has brought nothing to Yemen and its people but war, hunger, poverty, and division, noting that it has become the most dangerous arm of the Iranian regime in the region, and that its continued support, arming, and funding target not only Yemen but threaten national security, freedom of international navigation, and opportunities for peace and stability.

The statement reiterated the full support of the people of Taiz governorate for the content of the speech of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, considering it a historic national speech that outlined the features of the next phase and established the priority of restoring state institutions, preserving national sovereignty, ending the coup, and alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people.

The statement also declared support for all measures taken by the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to protect the sovereignty of the Yemeni Republic, and rejection of any attempts to impose a fait accompli outside state institutions or turn Yemen into an arena for implementing the agendas of the Iranian regime and its destructive project in the region.

The participants supported the government measures regarding the resumption of oil exports, considering the step a responsible national decision aimed at restoring the state's sovereign resources, enabling it to pay salaries, improve services, and support the national economy.

The statement affirmed that Taiz governorate, which has been under a continuous siege for nearly a decade and has lost thousands of martyrs and wounded, represents the truest witness to the falsity of the Houthi militia's claims and the human, economic, and security suffering they have caused.

The people of Taiz condemned the continued interference of the Iranian regime in Yemeni affairs and its political and military support for the Houthi militia, considering that a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the Yemeni Republic and a direct threat to the security of Yemen, the region, freedom of international navigation, and international peace and security.

The statement called for unifying the national ranks and rallying around the state project, its political leadership, armed forces, and security agencies, making the battle for liberation and ending the coup a comprehensive national goal for all Yemenis.

In conclusion, the participants commended the positions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, standing by the Yemeni people, their continuous support for state institutions, their contributions to alleviating human suffering, financing development and service projects, supporting the national economy, and what they have provided to Taiz governorate and all Yemeni governorates.
