UAE Ministry of Defense: Two National Tankers Struck by Iranian Missiles
The UAE Ministry of Defense announced that the two national tankers 'Mombasa' and 'Al Bahia' were targeted by two Iranian cruise missiles while sailing in the southern corridor of the Strait of Hormuz within Omani territorial waters.
The ministry clarified that the attack resulted in the death of one crew member of the tanker 'Mombasa' of Indian nationality, and injuries to eight others, including four serious injuries, consisting of six Indians and two Ukrainians.
It added that the targeting caused material damage to the two tankers due to a fire that broke out on board, noting that the fire was brought under control on both tankers.

The UAE Ministry of Defense condemned the attack, considering it a serious violation of international law and a threat to the security and stability of the region, affirming that the state retains its full right to respond to this escalation and take all necessary measures to protect its territory, people, and residents, safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability, and protect its national interests and resources.
The ministry stressed that it is fully prepared and ready to deal with any threats, and that it is taking all necessary measures to firmly confront anything aimed at destabilizing the country's security and stability.
The Ministry of Defense called on the public to obtain information from official sources and avoid circulating rumors or unreliable information.
