The head of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi, affirmed that the state will not allow any flights outside its exclusive competencies and that there is no alternative for the militias except to accept the announced humanitarian initiatives, according to "Al-Akhbariya".

During today's meeting, he stressed that restoring state institutions is the only way to achieve lasting peace, and that the government's welcome of any humanitarian effort, including the recent Jordanian initiative, affirms the state's approach, commitment, and openness to all initiatives that would alleviate the suffering of citizens.

Imposing Special Agendas

The head of the Presidential Leadership Council touched on the measures taken by the state in recent days to deal with the latest Houthi escalation politically, diplomatically, and militarily, in a way that ensures deterring any recklessness to impose special agendas unrelated to the interests of the Yemeni people.

He pointed to the need to double the international isolation of the Houthi militias and respect the sovereignty of the Yemeni state and its legal status, without harming the interests of the Yemeni people and their humanitarian priorities. Al-Alimi also directed to continue dismantling the misleading Houthi narratives through arguments, facts, and the provisions of international law, away from inflammatory rhetoric. In addition to highlighting their gross human rights violations and their vision based on entrenching racism and undermining the idea of a state founded on justice, the rule of law, and equal citizenship.
