The legendary star Lionel Messi left disappointed with hot tears that the world sympathized with after losing the match and the world title, and the award for best player in the World Cup, the Golden Boot, and the tournament's all-time top scorer, because he was unable to continue his brilliance and stardom, and his teammates did not support him, and none of them moved to receive his deadly passes, and they spent most of the match retreating and clearing the ball, and were it not for the brilliance of their goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, more than one goal would have entered their net.

The Spanish players prevented their opponent from repeating his method of retreating and compacting in defense, then surprising their opponents with devastating counterattacks by passing to Messi to break away and score himself or to pass and create goals for his teammates, and Rodri, the captain of the matador team, and his colleagues, did not give any space for Messi to move, and they nullified their counterattacks, and Lamine Yamal played the biggest role in leading the Spanish attacks throughout the match, pressuring the opponent's defenders and their midfield that retreated to defense with the help of striker Oyarzabal, Dani Olmo, Baena, Williams, Ferran Torres, Pedri, and Merino, whom coach Luis de la Fuente made sure to bring some of them to revitalize the attack with Yamal.

Meanwhile, Lionel Scaloni resorted to defensive changes throughout the match hoping to continue the draw and reach penalty kicks, especially after Enzo Fernández's red card, and in his six changes he used four defenders, and his last change was bringing on a right-back instead of Juan Álvarez, the striker, and therefore he had no trick in trying to achieve a draw when Ferran Torres scored Spain's wonderful goal in the 106th minute, at the start of the second half of extra time, and Messi's attempts failed, because the tango became without offensive teeth, while the pressure and offensive siege continued by Yamal and his four new attacking colleagues whom de la Fuente brought on to support his control, offensive superiority, and possession, which guaranteed him winning the title with merit and entitlement.
