Saudi Jiu-Jitsu Team: 9 Asian Medals
The Saudi jiu-jitsu national team has increased its medal count to nine at the ongoing Asian championship in Almaty, Kazakhstan, after winning two gold, one silver, and one bronze in the men's category on Friday. According to the Saudi Jiu-Jitsu Federation's account on platform 'X', brothers Omar and Abdullah Nada clinched gold in the 94 kg and 85 kg categories, respectively, while Abdulmalik Al-Mardi won silver in the 62 kg category, and Mohammed bin Huraymil won bronze in the 69 kg category. Representing the Saudi team in the adult category were Ahmed Al-Issa, Osama Saleh, Mohammed bin Huraymil, Abdullah Nada, Abdulmalik Al-Mardi, Issa Al-Shamisani, and Omar Nada. Sultana Al-Dosari won the bronze medal in the under-21 competition at the championship, and the Saudi team also won four bronze medals through Khaled Habab, Elias Banger, Jamal Jahlan, and Hadeel Qadaha. The under-21 category is represented by Mohammed Al-Ahmadi, Bassam Falatah, Abdulrahman Hanawi, Adam, Hussain Al-Yami, and Sultana Al-Dosari. The competitions of the 10th Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship are being held at the Almaty Arena in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from July 14 to 19.
