Al-Ahli first team suffered their fourth defeat in their European training camp, losing to Portuguese side Vitória Guimarães 3-1 on Friday. German coach Matthias Jaissle entered the match with a lineup that included Abdulrahman Al-Sanbi, Frenchman Valentin Atangana, Saad Balobaid, Mohammed Suleiman Bakr, Turkish Merih Demiral, Mohammed Abdulrahman, Firas Al-Buraikan, Saleh Abu Al-Shamat, Frenchman Enzo Miao, Mishal Al-Mutairi, and Brazilian Mateus Gonçalves who scored Al-Ahli's only goal.

This camp is part of Al-Ahli's preparations for the new football season.

Al-Ahli had drawn 2-2 with Rio Ave in their third friendly, lost to German side Holstein Kiel 1-4, while thrashing Austrian side Pintsgau Zalfelden 8-0 in their first trial match. Al-Ahli's camp in Portugal extends until the 28th of this month, and includes four friendly matches, with two remaining against Portimonense and Fulham. The technical staff led by Matthias Jaissle aims to test the players' abilities and reach the optimal lineup before the season starts.
