Competition has intensified to sign Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika of Belgian club Club Brugge, after Al Ittihad officially entered the race for his services during the current summer transfer window, amid strong interest from German side Eintracht Frankfurt.

Reliable Italian journalist and transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano confirmed via his official account on the X platform that Eintracht Frankfurt has intensified its efforts to complete the Raphael Onyedika deal, after submitting its official bid in the past hours.

Romano added that Al Ittihad has entered the negotiations strongly, after also submitting an official offer to Club Brugge's management to secure the player's services.

Romano indicated that Club Brugge's management values the player at around 10 million euros, given that only one year remains on his contract, which could facilitate his transfer during the current summer transfer window.
