Competition has intensified to sign Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika, who plays for Belgian side Club Brugge, after Al-Ittihad officially entered the race to secure his services during the current summer transfer window, amid strong interest from German club Eintracht Frankfurt.

Trusted Italian journalist and transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano confirmed via his official account on platform 'X' that Eintracht Frankfurt has stepped up its efforts to complete the deal for Raphael Onyedika, after submitting its official bid in the past hours.

Romano added that Al-Ittihad has entered the negotiations strongly, after also submitting an official offer to Club Brugge's management to sign the player.

Romano noted that Club Brugge values the player at around €10 million, with only one year remaining on his contract, which could facilitate his move in the current summer transfer window.
