England international Morgan Rogers has become the fifth most expensive player in football history after moving to Chelsea from Aston Villa for £117 million (€137 million), according to British and international media.

Chelsea has tied Rogers to a contract running until 2033, in a deal that is the most expensive in the club's history.

Reuters valued the deal at £117 million, while The Guardian reported that Chelsea concluded negotiations after weeks of talks, despite interest from other English clubs in signing the player.
