Al-Ittihad's Sharahili undergoes surgery

Al-Ittihad team won its first friendly match 3-2 against Orlando Pirates, with goals scored by Youssef Al-Nusayri, Musa Diaby, and George Eliniakia. The match took place during their preparatory camp currently being held in Marbella, Spain, in preparation for the upcoming season. Spanish coach Laurenz Vincens started with a lineup consisting of Rajkovic, Danilo Pereira, Carlo Simic, Muad Fagihi, Mohand Al-Shanqiti, Rakan Al-Kaabi, Hamed Al-Ghamdi, Abdulrahman Al-Obaid, Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, Musa Diaby, and Youssef Al-Nusayri. In the second half, he started with a different lineup to assess the technical and fitness levels of the players.

In other news, team defender Ahmed Sharahili underwent successful surgery on his left ankle in the Portuguese city of Porto at a specialized center. He will join the team's camp in the coming period to begin the treatment and rehabilitation program under the supervision of the club's medical staff according to the treatment plan.
