Al-Nasr Close to Signing Portuguese Samo Costa to Replace Brozovic in Midfield
Al-Nasr are in advanced talks to sign Samo Costa from Mallorca, with the 25-year-old midfielder giving the green light despite European interest.
Al-Nasr are close to finalizing the signing of Portuguese midfielder Samo Costa from Spanish side Real Mallorca.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed via his X account on Wednesday that negotiations between Al-Nasr and Mallorca have reached their final stages, both with the Spanish club and the player's representatives.
Romano indicated that Costa, 25, has given the Saudi club the green light to negotiate, despite receiving European offers, most notably from German side RB Leipzig.
Costa played for Portugal at the 2026 World Cup, appearing for 20 minutes against Colombia in the group stage. He has played 132 matches in La Liga for Mallorca and Almeria.
Samo Costa is valued at around €15 million, according to Transfermarkt, the player valuation website.
Al-Nasr's move to sign Costa is to compensate for the departure of veteran Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
