Bandar Al-Muqbil, President of Saudi Al-Riyadh Club, revealed positive indicators regarding the efforts to sign Egyptian Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet from Al-Ahly, confirming in exclusive statements to Al-Arabiya.net that the club is waiting for the final response from its Egyptian counterpart on Monday evening regarding the offer submitted to acquire the player.

Bandar Al-Muqbil, President of Al-Riyadh Club, told Al-Arabiya.net: We expect developments on Monday evening regarding the Trezeguet deal; the indicators are positive so far.

He added: When a club submits an offer to another team to acquire a player, there is a deadline for response, so we await the final response from Al-Ahly Club regarding the offer.

When asked whether Al-Riyadh Club had reached an agreement with Trezeguet, he replied: We are negotiating with Al-Ahly first because they have a valid contract with the player, so we must reach an agreement with the club before we speak with the player. Once we reach a final agreement, we will negotiate with the player.

Trezeguet participated with the Egyptian national team in the 2026 World Cup finals, exiting in the round of 16 after a 3-2 loss to Argentina.
