Al Ahly, a competitor in the Egyptian Premier League, announced on Sunday the signing of Sofiane Ben Jadda, the top scorer of the Moroccan league. The Egyptian club said on its Facebook account: 'Al Ahly announces the signing of player Sofiane Ben Jadda, coming from Maghreb de Fès, for three seasons.' He added: 'Essam Serag El-Din, head of the contracts department, went to Morocco and completed all financial and administrative procedures in coordination with Wael Gomaa, the football director.' The 24-year-old Moroccan striker Ben Jadda is the third signing for Al Ahly, which finished last season without titles, after signing Ali Mahmoud and Aqtay Abdullah, the duo from Enppi. Ben Jadda contributed to Maghreb de Fès winning the Moroccan professional league title last season, ending a 41-year drought for the title, and also became the top scorer of the competition with 20 goals. The Moroccan striker previously played for Belgian club Standard Liège, and also had a stint with Raja Casablanca.
