Abdulhak Al-Morakichi, member of the Council of Wise Men of MAS Fez, explained that they explored the possibility of signing Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri, forward of Al-Ittihad's first football team, but the current salary the player receives stands as a barrier to completing the deal. In a private interview with Al-Riyadiya, Al-Morakichi said: 'Negotiations have indeed taken place to sign Youssef En-Nesyri from Al-Ittihad, but until now, the salary the player receives is an obstacle to the deal.. We cannot pay the salary he receives in the Roshn League.' The Moroccan official stressed that if the player were to forgo what he receives in the Saudi League, something different might happen in this deal. Youssef En-Nesyri joined Al-Ittihad in January 2026 from Turkish side Fenerbahçe, and during his tenure with the Jeddah club, he played 18 matches in various competitions, scoring 8 goals and providing one assist.
