Belgian Trossard from Arsenal to Besiktas
Belgian international winger Leandro Trossard, who last season won the English Premier League title with Arsenal and also reached the Champions League final, has moved to Turkish club Besiktas after three and a half years with the London club, according to the latter's announcement.
After a spell in which he scored 36 goals and provided 34 assists in 174 matches, the 31-year-old Belgian player received 'permission to travel to Istanbul to undergo a medical and complete the administrative procedures for his transfer,' according to an Arsenal statement.

While Arsenal announced it had reached an 'agreement on the transfer fee' with Besiktas, the Turkish club posted a photo on X of its president Serdal Adali alongside the Belgian player at Istanbul airport. Besiktas is seeking to regain the Turkish league title, which it last won in 2021, and to that end strengthened its squad at the beginning of June by hiring Italian coach Vincenzo Italiano. Trossard, coming off a successful stint with Belgium at the 2026 World Cup where the 'Red Devils' reached the quarter-finals, scoring two goals, stood out with Arsenal in the final weeks of the past season, which ended with the London club winning the Premier League title for the first time since 2004.
The left-footed winger, who stands at 1.72m, scored the winning goal for Arsenal at the ground of local rivals West Ham 1-0 in the 36th round, giving the 'Gunners' a five-point lead over Manchester City.
A few days later, he set up a goal for German Kai Havertz in the Champions League final against French side Paris Saint-Germain, which retained the European title on penalties after the match ended 1-1 in regular and extra time, in the London club's first final in the competition since 2006.
