«Al Jazeera» - Buraydah:

Al-Taawoun returns this season to participate in the AFC Champions League 2, having been eliminated from the edition before last in the semi-finals after missing a penalty that would have secured their first-ever appearance in the final.

Last season, Al-Nasr participated in Asia 2 and lost in the final 0-1 to Japan's Osaka at their home ground, Al Awwal Park, after their coach Jorge Jesus had promised that Al-Nasr would be the first Saudi team to win Asia 2. However, he failed with his team to win a tournament much easier than the AFC Champions League (Elite).

Al-Taawoun now has a chance to win the tournament and become the first Saudi team to win this title, especially since the team has been well-prepared for this task that awaits the Yellow of Buraydah.
