The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced the final list of goals nominated for the Best Goal award at the 2026 World Cup, which included 12 goals, at the conclusion of a tournament that saw 308 goals scored, at a rate of nearly three goals per match.

The list saw a complete Arab absence, despite the historic participation of eight Arab teams in the finals, the largest tally in World Cup history, along with the distinguished performances of several Arab teams during the tournament, but that was not reflected in the list of goals nominated for the award.

The final list included goals from: Karim Alaybegović (Bosnia and Herzegovina) against Qatar, Julián Álvarez (Argentina) against Switzerland, Jude Bellingham (England) against France, Sidney Lopes Cabral (Cape Verde) against Argentina, Erling Haaland (Norway) against Brazil, Wilson Isidor (Haiti) against Morocco, Elijah Just (New Zealand) against Iran, Daizen Maeda (Japan) against Sweden, Kylian Mbappé (France) against Senegal, Lionel Messi (Argentina) against Algeria, Eldor Shomurodov (Uzbekistan) against Democratic Republic of Congo, and Ferran Torres (Spain) against Argentina in the final match. Ferran Torres' goal stands out as the decisive goal that gave the Spanish team the 2026 World Cup title, while the list includes other goals from a number of the tournament's top stars, led by Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland, and Jude Bellingham.

The popular voting window is scheduled to remain open until July 27, before FIFA announces the winner of the Best Goal award for the 2026 World Cup, amid strong competition among goals that created immortal moments in the tournament.
