The draw for the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League was held today (Monday) in Nyon, Switzerland, resulting in highly anticipated matchups in both paths of the competition: the league path and the champions path.

In the league path, Olympiacos of Greece faces Nijmegen of the Netherlands, while Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise takes on Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt. The winner of the tie between Turkish side Fenerbahçe and Polish side Gornik Zabrze will face the winner of the match between Austrian side Sturm Graz and Scottish side Heart of Midlothian. Additionally, Sparta Prague of the Czech Republic meets Lyon of France.

The first-leg matches for this path will be played on 4 and 5 August, with the second-leg matches scheduled for 11 of the same month.

In the champions path, the winner of the tie between Swiss side Thun and Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb will face the winner of the match between Klaksvík of the Faroe Islands and Kauno Altgiries of Lithuania.

Another matchup sees the winner of Bulgarian side Levski Sofia against Romanian side Universitatea Craiova take on the winner of Kazakh side Kairat Almaty and Cypriot side Omonia. The winner of Armenian side Ararat-Armenia against Irish side Shamrock Rovers will play the winner of Albanian side Egnatia and Slovenian side Celje.

Additionally, the winner of Swedish side Mjällby against Lincoln Red Imps of Gibraltar will face the winner of Georgian side Iberia 1999 Tbilisi and Slovakian side Slovan Bratislava.

Danish side Aarhus faces Polish side Lech Poznań, with the winner taking on the winner of Azerbaijani side Sabah and Finnish side Kuopion Palloseura. Finally, Icelandic side Víkingur Reykjavík meets Israeli side Hapoel Be'er Sheva, with the winner facing the winner of Northern Irish side Larne and Serbian side Red Star. The first-leg matches for the champions path will be played on 4 and 5 August, with the second-leg matches on 11 August.
