Artist Mishal Al-Mutairi announced that the series 'Banat Umair' belongs to pure family drama, focusing on a father's interaction with his five daughters in the absence of female emotion. He explained that embodying the character of 'Umair' required great effort and in-depth study, given that the work addresses a contemporary social and family issue. Al-Mutairi plays a widower who devoted his life to raising his daughters after his wife's death, then an old love story returns to turn things around. Al-Mutairi said: 'Each daughter has a different personality and problems of a special kind, but Umair tries to be close to all of them to compensate for the absence of maternal tenderness.' He added: 'While we may find him affectionate and gentle, at other times we find his harsh reactions may overcome him, despite his eagerness not to pressure his daughters or be harsh with them. He is mostly a kind person, but his excessive kindness may get him into some trouble.'
