The Saudi national under-20 handball team finished the group stage as leaders of Group 1 with a perfect record after achieving its fifth consecutive victory, following a landslide win over Hong Kong 46-11 on Wednesday, at the conclusion of the group stage of the 19th Asian Championship. The Green Handball team secured its fifth consecutive win in the continental championship currently hosted by China, after having clinched qualification to the quarter-finals two rounds earlier. Mohammed Al-Qaed, the Saudi player, was awarded the best player of the match, according to what the Saudi Handball Federation announced on its X platform. The championship is played with the participation of 12 Asian teams, divided into two groups, and the top four teams from each group qualify for the quarter-finals. The top four teams in the competition obtain qualification tickets to the 2027 World Youth Handball Championship.
