Belgian international star Leandro Trossard has moved to the ranks of Turkish team Besiktas, after ending his career with Arsenal, who won the English Premier League title in the past season.
Arsenal decided to give up Trossard's services for 17 million pounds sterling, divided into 15.3 million pounds as an initial payment, plus 1.7 million pounds as add-ons, according to the official website of Sky Sports network, on Wednesday.
Arsenal said in a statement: "Leo joined us from Brighton in January 2023, played 174 matches in all competitions, scoring 36 goals and contributing to 34 other goals."
The London club added in its statement published on its official website: "Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Leo for his valuable contribution to the club, and wish him all the best in his future career."
It is noteworthy that Trossard participated with the Belgian national team in the 2026 World Cup, currently being held in the United States, Mexico and Canada, where he contributed to the qualification of the team, nicknamed the Red Devils, to the quarter-finals.
