A press report revealed that four players at Barcelona reject the signing of Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez during the current summer transfer window.

Barcelona insists on signing Alvarez to compensate for the departure of its Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, and the Argentine striker has announced his desire to leave Atletico Madrid and join 'Blaugrana', but the 'Rojiblancos' management insists on keeping the player, whose contract runs until 2030, with a release clause worth around 500 million euros.

Barcelona quartet rejects the deal

According to the French network 'Foot Mercato', four players at Barcelona reject the idea of Alvarez's arrival: Ferran Torres, who believes he is fully capable of being a starter, also feels a wound to his pride, and is seriously considering joining Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

It added that Gavi and Pedri are also not enthusiastic; they are close to Ferran and have a good relationship with him, and they would not look favorably on signing Alvarez. As for the fourth player, it is Raphinha; the Brazilian believes that after the club signed Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi, there is no need to spend a huge amount on Julian Alvarez, and this is also the opinion of some members of the sports management.

Deco and Flick oppose Laporta's opinion

According to Spanish media, Barcelona's sporting director Deco and team coach Hansi Flick believe the player's price is exaggerated, and that it is better to invest in a less expensive player, but this contradicts the opinion of club president Joan Laporta, who has made signing Julian Alvarez his top priority.
