Does Mourinho Plan to Spark a Revolution at Real Madrid?
José Mourinho has begun his second coaching stint with Real Madrid with a message that is echoing around the Valdebebas training city: the need to change the daily work culture in order to return to winning titles.
"Marca" newspaper reported that Mourinho emphasized in his first meetings that success will only be achieved if every individual within the club maintains the same level of daily commitment and hunger for competition.
Although winning titles is the ultimate goal, the Portuguese coach believes that the real start lies in changing the daily work culture within the club.
Starting Monday, José Mourinho will begin implementing his ideas on the field.
The international players who participated in the World Cup will join gradually, after receiving at least three weeks of physical and mental rest. Meanwhile, the coach will lead the first training sessions with the available players, along with a large number of academy members.
Over the past weeks, Mourinho has studied individual reports on the players and personally selected a group of young talents he wants to follow closely.
For many of them, participating in the first-team training will not just be an opportunity, but rather the first real test under a coach who wants to get to know them himself, without relying on the opinions or reports of others.
