The four clubs of the Eastern Province—Al-Qadsiah, Al-Ettifaq, Al-Fateh, and Al-Khaleej—have entered the preparation phase for the new sports season, with overseas camps and various technical programs, while continuing to work on strengthening their squads during the summer transfer window, in readiness for the start of the Saudi Roshn League competitions.

Stability in the Girona camp

Al-Qadsiah is holding its overseas camp in the Spanish city of Girona, led by Irish manager Brendan Rodgers, who continues his tenure with the team for the second consecutive season after successfully leading the team last season. In terms of transfers, the club announced the signing of midfielder Mohammed Al-Qahtani from Al-Hilal, making him the most prominent announced acquisition so far.

As for Al-Ettifaq, they are holding their preparatory camp in Spain, where the team continues its pre-season program with a number of friendly matches and technical and physical sessions, alongside the signing of Australian coach Arthur Papas to lead the technical helm of the first team, replacing Saudi coach Saad Al-Shehri, whose tenure ended at the end of last season. The management is also active in the transfer market to bolster the squad. The club has not yet announced any major player signings, as it focuses on preparing the team in the best possible way before the start.

National coach returns to the forefront

At Al-Fateh, the management has chosen to rely on national coach Khaled Al-Atwi to lead the team in the new season, and the team is also holding its camp in Spain. Al-Fateh is Al-Atwi's seventh coaching stint at the club level, after his experiences with Al-Oyoun, Al-Nujoom, Al-Ettifaq, Al-Qadsiah, Damac, and Al-Diriyah. The club has not yet announced any notable player signings.

Al-Khaleej begins a new phase under Gomes

Meanwhile, Al-Khaleej is holding its overseas camp in the Netherlands and enters the season with a new technical staff led by Portuguese José Gomes, whom the club announced signing on a two-year contract, the first technical staff acquisition in preparation for the new season, replacing Uruguayan Gustavo Bueno whose contract ended at the end of last season. Al-Khaleej also continues to strengthen its squad during the transfer period, though no major signings have been officially announced yet.

The Eastern Province clubs are heading into the new season with different visions: Al-Qadsiah bets on technical stability with the continuation of Rodgers, while Al-Fateh and Al-Khaleej begin a new phase with different technical staffs, as Al-Ettifaq continues its preparations and squad strengthening, hoping to appear competitive and achieve results that meet the aspirations of their fans in the Saudi Roshn League.
