The embassies of Canada, Mexico and the United States in Saudi Arabia affirmed that the FIFA World Cup 2026™ represents more than just a sporting competition, as it forms a global platform to enhance rapprochement between peoples, build bridges of cultural communication, and create shared memories and experiences that go beyond the boundaries of stadiums.

In a joint press release, the three embassies, as representatives of the host countries of the tournament, explained that the World Cup provided the countries with an opportunity to introduce their cultures and welcome visitors from around the world, affirming their anticipation to receive Saudi fans and give them the chance to closely experience the cultural diversity and hospitality that characterize North America.

The diplomatic missions expressed their appreciation for the status that football enjoys in the Kingdom, and offered congratulations to the Saudi people on the occasion of their preparations to host the FIFA World Cup 2034™, affirming that hosting major tournaments contributes to empowering youth, promoting healthy lifestyles, supporting tourism, enhancing cultural exchange, and building sustainable ties between communities.

Canada's Ambassador to the Kingdom, Jean-Philippe Linteau, said that hosting the World Cup alongside Mexico and the United States exemplified what countries can achieve when they work with a shared vision and clear goal, noting that the tournament's success went beyond football to enhance opportunities for international cooperation and partnerships, the same values that underpin Canada's relations with Saudi Arabia.

For his part, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Mexico in the Kingdom, Dr. Guillermo Gutiérrez Nieto, affirmed that hosting the tournament alongside Canada and the United States reflected the spirit of cooperation, openness and mutual respect among North American countries, expressing his country's pride in its traditions of hospitality, congratulating the tournament champions, and wishing the Kingdom success in its preparations to host the 2034 World Cup.

In turn, the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in the Kingdom, Alison Dilworth, affirmed that the World Cup embodies the highest values of international sports, foremost among them excellence, teamwork and respect, expressing her happiness to celebrate this occasion with friends in the Kingdom, and affirming anticipation to exchange expertise and strengthen ties between the two peoples through sports and cultural exchange, in preparation for the Kingdom's hosting of the tournament in 2034.
