German Karim Adeyemi, who recently joined Barcelona, confirmed that the main reason for accepting the Blaugrana's offer is his compatriot Hansi Flick, the head coach of Barça.

Barcelona officially announced on Thursday the signing of German Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund on a contract until 2031.

Adeyemi appeared in a press conference before the media for his presentation and said in his first words: 'Flick is the main reason, he told me what the club needs, and I came here to prove that.'

He continued, as reported by Mundo Deportivo: 'We had a long conversation, but I didn't ask him about my position. He asked me if I was ready, I answered yes, and said I would give my best.'

He concluded: 'For me, it's a big step. It's a club completely different from any other in the world.'
