Veteran French striker Antoine Griezmann scored on his Major League Soccer debut, leading Orlando City to a 4-0 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes early Thursday morning, in the first match for both teams since the World Cup break.

David Brekalo and Ivan Angulo each netted their first goal of the season, while Bryan Ojeda added the fourth for Orlando, which secured its fifth win against nine losses and two draws. Orlando City signed the 35-year-old Griezmann last March from Spanish side Atlético Madrid, the club's all-time leading scorer with 211 goals and 97 assists in 488 appearances, on a contract that began after the conclusion of the La Liga season.

Brekalo opened the scoring in the seventh minute with a precise header from a well-taken free kick by Eduard Atuesta. In the 29th minute, Atuesta passed the ball to Angulo, who advanced towards the opponent's penalty area and fired a low, powerful shot into the net past goalkeeper Angus Jan, his first goal since October 5, 2024.

Three minutes into the second half, Griezmann opened his scoring account for Orlando, before Bryan Ojeda sealed the fourth goal in the 72nd minute.
