A delegation from the Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation visited Dohuk Governorate in the Republic of Iraq to review the latest preparations for hosting the Gulf Club Super Cup match, scheduled for Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Dohuk Club Stadium, which will bring together Iraqi club Dohuk, champion of the first edition of the Gulf Club Champions League, and Qatari club Al Rayyan, champion of the second edition of the tournament.

The delegation was headed by Jassim Sultan Al-Rumeihi, Secretary-General of the Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation, who conducted a field tour of Dohuk Club Stadium, during which he inspected the pitch and facilities, as well as media and broadcast requirements, security standards, and safety systems, to ensure that all necessary conditions for hosting the match are met.

The delegation also held a meeting with officials of Iraqi club Dohuk, during which they reviewed the latest preparations for the match and discussed organizational and logistical aspects as well as coordination mechanisms among various committees, to ensure the event is held according to the highest approved standards.

For his part, Abdullah Jalal, President of Iraqi club Dohuk, affirmed the club's full commitment to the success of hosting the Gulf Club Super Cup match, noting that all capabilities are being mobilized to present the event in a manner befitting its importance.

He also emphasized full compliance with the requirements and standards of the Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation, and working to provide the best organizational and technical conditions to ensure the match is held optimally and in a way that reflects the distinguished status of the tournament.

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation of the Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation praised the level of preparations observed on the ground, appreciating the efforts made by Dohuk Club and the relevant authorities, and expressing confidence in the city's ability to host a match worthy of the status of the Gulf Club Super Cup.

The delegation also affirmed that the tournament represents an important opportunity to enhance the competitiveness of Gulf clubs and develop the federation's competitions, in addition to strengthening sports ties between countries in the region.
