Ha'il Clubs: None Succeeded

The current football season did not turn out as sports enthusiasts in Ha'il region had hoped; it ended without any club from the region achieving promotion or a competitive achievement matching the ambitions of fans who are accustomed to seeing Ha'il's name present in the competition.

It is important to emphasize that Ha'il region's clubs receive continuous attention, follow-up, and support from His Royal Highness the Emir of Ha'il region and his deputy - may God protect them - which is an extension of their well-known ongoing support for everything that serves the region's youth and sports, and their constant keenness on the presence of Ha'il clubs and enabling them to achieve the aspirations of their fans. However, the sports and fan ambition remains greater, and hopes are directed towards translating this support into on-field achievements and promotion that restores the region's clubs to their competitive status.

At the level of competitions and the Second Division, clubs such as Al-Rayyan, Al-Liwaa, Jubbah, and Al-Ghouta were unable to reach the First Division, ending their participation without achieving the promotion goal their fans had awaited.

The most notable scene was in the Yelo League, where Ha'il fans entered the season hoping that one of the region's two poles would return to the Saudi Roshn League, but the ending was different.

Al-Jabalain finished the league in sixth place and managed to reach the promotion playoffs, but they collided with Al-Diriyah and lost 3-0, ending their dreams of returning to the Roshn League before the finish line.

Similarly, Al-Tai ended their season in ninth place after a season that saw fluctuating results, a position inconsistent with the club's history and the aspirations of its fans, who had hoped for a quick return after relegation.

The discussion here is not just about a failed season, but a larger question: What do Ha'il clubs lack to transform from seasonal competitors into a genuine promotion project?

When we look at other regions, we find a clear and continuous presence of clubs from Qassim, Eastern Province, and Asir across various divisions, while Ha'il has a large fan base and a significant sports heritage that deserves higher representation. Having one or two clubs from the region in the Roshn League is not a sports luxury, but a natural extension of a known sports and fan history.

Meanwhile, attention turns to the next phase for the region's two major clubs; indications suggest that the acting president of Al-Jabalain, Mr. Fayez Al-Muajil, wants to continue in the coming phase, while the president of Al-Tai, Mr. Umair Al-Umair, continues leading the club with some time left in his tenure, amid fan aspirations that the next phase will see more stable work and the ability to return both clubs to the promotion competition circle.

Today, Ha'il fans are not just waiting for a new season, but for a sports project that brings back one or both of the region's representatives to the Roshn League, and restores Ha'il's presence commensurate with its history and sports weight.
