The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation issued a decision punishing the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qalwa Club, Ali Obaid Al-Zahrani, after it was proven that he violated the disciplinary and ethics regulations by illegally influencing the results of Third Division League matches.

Investigations concluded with the conviction of Qalwa Club president.

The committee confirmed that the decision came after completing the investigation procedures and hearing the testimonies of the relevant parties, following a report received from the Integrity Unit of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation regarding the incident.

The committee clarified that the violation consisted of breaching Article (76) of the Disciplinary and Ethics Regulations, related to illegal influence on match results, which necessitated imposing the sanctions stipulated in the regulations.

A fine and a 3-year ban.

The decision included requiring the president of Qalwa Club to pay a fine of 300,000 riyals to the account of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, in addition to banning him from participating in any football-related activity for three years.

The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee indicated that the decision issued against Ali Obaid Al-Zahrani is subject to appeal, in accordance with Article (144) of the Disciplinary and Ethics Regulations in force in the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.
