The French national team suffered a historic defeat against its English counterpart with a score of (6-4) last night in the third-place match of the 2026 World Cup, recording a number of negative records.

According to the French network "Stats Foot", the French team conceded 6 goals in a single match for the first time since a 6-2 friendly loss to Switzerland on October 12, 1960.
