The Saudi Sports Culture Federation, in partnership with the Saudi Electronic University, launched the Diploma in Sports Culture and the Diploma in Sports Marketing and Investment Management, as part of its efforts to develop specialized academic programs and prepare qualified national cadres to support the sports sector and enable it to keep pace with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The launch of the two programs comes in response to the rapid changes in the sports sector, and as an extension of the integration between academic institutions and the sports sector, enhancing national capacity building and providing the labor market with competencies possessing applied knowledge and skills in sports culture, marketing, and sports investment. The Diploma in Sports Culture aims to spread sports awareness, promote healthy lifestyles, instill sports values, and develop social responsibility by preparing cadres capable of designing and implementing awareness initiatives and programs that contribute to improving quality of life and enhancing community participation.
The Diploma in Sports Marketing and Investment Management aims to qualify specialists in sports marketing and investment, equipping them with the necessary skills in sports sponsorship management, brand building, digital marketing, and investment in sports assets and facilities, thereby supporting the growth and sustainability of the sports economy. Dr. Sulaiman bin Omar Al-Jaloud, President of the Saudi Sports Culture Federation, emphasized that the launch of the two programs comes as an extension of the rapid leaps and successive achievements witnessed by the sports and youth sector, thanks first to God, and then to the generous support and great attention from the wise leadership, and with the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and with the backing of His Highness Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaid, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, a support that turned ambitions into achievements and visions into a reality noted by all. He added that the two programs represent a strategic step in the Federation's journey towards consolidating sports culture, building a specialized educational system that meets the needs of the sports sector, and contributing to the preparation and qualification of national talents, stressing that the current stage requires investment in human capital and empowering competencies capable of leading the qualitative transformation witnessed by Saudi sports. He pointed out that the partnership with the Institute of Research and Studies at the Saudi Electronic University reflects the integration of roles between the academic and sports sectors, and contributes to providing modern educational programs that combine academic qualification and practical application, in line with best global practices, enhancing graduates' readiness to compete in the labor market, and contributing to the development of the sports marketing and investment system and spreading sports culture, in light of the comprehensive sports renaissance the Kingdom is experiencing.
