Portuguese star Rafael Leao has become close to leaving Milan during the summer transfer window, after the player and the Italian club's management reached an agreement to end their relationship.

According to what Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed, Leao is still strongly tipped to leave Milan after his participation in the 2026 World Cup ends, noting that both parties agreed that splitting this summer is the best option.

Romano added on his X account that the future of the Portuguese player will be decided after studying all expected offers in the coming weeks.

Saudi interest

Romano confirmed that a number of Saudi Roshen League clubs have already started moving and communicating with the player's entourage, in their quest to sign one of the most prominent European football stars.

Despite the Saudi interest, Romano indicated that Leao currently prefers to wait for offers from top European clubs before making his final decision about his future.
