Leitsch starts Al-Shabab camp with intensive fitness sessions
Al-Shabab's first football team kicked off their pre-season preparations at their camp in Bad Waltersdorf, Austria, where German coach Thomas Leitsch began his technical program by imposing two training sessions on the first day of fieldwork.
The "Lions" delegation arrived in Austria on Wednesday before training began on Thursday, as part of the first phase of preparation during which the new technical staff focuses on raising the players' physical level and preparing them for the upcoming season.

Both the morning and evening sessions focused on fitness aspects, as Leitsch aims to build a strong physical foundation before moving to tactical and technical aspects during the next stages of the camp. The training saw the participation of all team members, both local players and foreign professionals, led by Portuguese winger Daniel Podence, who returned to Al-Shabab after his loan spell with Olympiacos. Al-Shabab hopes to appear differently in the new season, after finishing the last Saudi Roshn League season in 13th place with 35 points.
