Liverpool lead Arsenal and Bayern in race for Salah's successor
Liverpool are confident of signing Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola, valued at £100 million, as a replacement for Mohamed Salah, beating competition from Arsenal and Bayern Munich.
Liverpool are confident they can beat Arsenal in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola, who is valued at around £100 million.
Arsenal have made Barcola a target after missing out on Morgan Rogers, who joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in a deal worth £117 million.
However, The Sun has learned that Liverpool are currently leading the race for Barcola, who is also attracting interest from Bayern Munich.
The Reds are looking for a heavyweight attacking signing following the departure of veteran star Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool had already failed to sign Jan Diomandé, who is set to join Paris Saint-Germain from RB Leipzig.
Diomandé's arrival in the French capital means the European champions can afford to let go of Barcola, who impressed for the French national team on their run to the World Cup semi-finals.
Barcola, 23, has only two years left on his contract with PSG and appears ready for a new challenge in his career.
PSG also need to raise funds as they pursue Monaco midfielder Maghnes Akliouche, 24, who is valued at around £43 million.
Liverpool have already completed the signing of Spanish winger Victor Muñoz from Osasuna for £34.5 million, while Jeremie Jacquet will join the team after agreeing a move from Rennes last January for £55 million.
