LYON, from Latin America, was crowned champion of the Free Fire tournament at the 2026 Esports World Cup, after winning the grand final which featured fierce competition among 12 teams. The team secured a prize of $300,000, guaranteed qualification for the Free Fire World Series finals, and added 1,000 points to its club championship standings.

The team delivered an impressive performance throughout the tournament, setting a new record by scoring 45 points in a single match, before clinching the final showdown after overcoming its rivals in the final moments and seizing the championship title.

In the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang women's tournament, French team Vitality retained its title for the second consecutive time and the fourth in its history, after defeating Natus Vincere PH 4-2 in the final, earning the first-place prize of $150,000 and adding 1,000 points to its club championship tally.

The tournament also saw player Fiorelle Chen (Vival) awarded Best Player for the second time in her career, while LYON player Benjamin Perez (Gamezking) received the Best Player award for the Free Fire tournament, after his outstanding performance throughout the competition.

This year's edition saw the women's tournament renamed from MLBB Women’s Invitational to MLBB Women’s International, a step reflecting the tournament's global expansion, with the competition held for the first time in Europe as part of the 2026 Esports World Cup.
