Major Blow: Barcelona on the Verge of Second Signing
Barcelona have agreed a deal to sign Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund for €22m plus €7m in add-ons, with the player set to sign a five-year contract.
He turned down everyone else and chose Barcelona.
German Karim Adeyemi is one step away from officially moving to Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund, as Barça continues to strengthen their attack line in preparation for the new season, in which they aim to defend their La Liga title and regain the Champions League title that has been absent from their trophy cabinet since 2015.
Barcelona succeeded in the current transfer window in signing Anthony Gordon from Newcastle, at a time when Robert Lewandowski left the team at the end of last season, and the Catalan giants also decided not to renew the loan of Englishman Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.
Famous transfer expert Fabrizio Romano announced that Barcelona have completed their agreement to sign Adeyemi. The direct agreement between Barça and Dortmund management settled the deal for €22 million as a fixed fee, plus €7 million in add-ons and variable financial incentives linked to the player's appearances with the team and the number of titles and trophies he will achieve wearing the Blaugrana shirt.
He pointed out that Adeyemi was decisive in his decision from the start, as he rejected other offers and insisted on moving only to Barcelona. The young star is set to sign a long-term contract extending for a full five years at the Camp Nou fortress.

The German club is aware that it is in a more sensitive negotiating position, as Adeyemi's contract expires in June 2027 and he does not intend to renew it, thus they fear his departure at the end of his contract for free.
