Manchester United signs goalkeeper Darlow on two-year contract
Manchester United, the English Premier League soccer club, said on Tuesday that it has signed goalkeeper Karl Darlow on a two-year contract after his departure from Leeds United.
The Welsh international left Leeds after his contract expired in June, having played 38 matches for manager Daniel Farke's team since joining from Newcastle United in 2023 on a three-year deal.
Darlow (35) spent the early part of his career with Nottingham Forest, making 111 appearances, before spending nine years at Newcastle where he played 100 matches.
Darlow said in a statement: "I am immensely proud to join Manchester United. I will join an excellent group of goalkeepers, and I am really looking forward to inspiring each other to ensure we maintain the highest standards required by this club."
