(CNN)-- The Egyptian Football Association revealed on its social media accounts on Monday the ranking of some players of the 'Pharaohs' national team in the list of best in the 2026 World Cup.

The Egyptian national team moved up five places in the FIFA world rankings, reaching 24th place, after reaching the round of 16 for the first time in its history in the biggest world tournaments.

The 'Pharaohs' national team beat New Zealand 3-1, drew 1-1 with Belgium and Iran in the group stage, then beat Australia on penalties in the round of 32, before losing to Argentina in the round of 16.

According to the Egyptian Football Association, Emam Ashour ranked 28th, Mostafa 'Ziko' ranked 30th, Mohamed Salah ranked 49th, and Yasser Ibrahim ranked 57th, out of a total of 1,248 players.

Salah played five matches in the last World Cup, scoring one goal and providing two assists.

Meanwhile, Mostafa 'Shobeir' was ranked eighth in the list of best goalkeepers, which included 145 players.
