Neom's first football team lost to Granada 2-0 on Wednesday in their second friendly match during their ongoing training camp in Spain, as they prepare for the new 2026-2027 season.

Neom coach Galtier gave a large number of his players the opportunity to assess their physical and technical readiness.

Neom had opened their friendly matches with a goalless draw against English side Peterborough United last Friday.

Three more friendlies remain for Neom during their camp, which runs until July 31.

Neom will face South African side Orlando Pirates on July 24, followed four days later by Qatari side Al-Arabi, and then Spanish side Las Palmas on July 31.

Neom faces three domestic and international challenges in the new season, competing in the Saudi Roshn League, the King's Cup, and the Gulf Club Champions League.

Neom, alongside Al-Ettifaq, will participate in the Gulf tournament after finishing eighth in the Saudi League standings last season.
