Al-Nassr seeks to conclude new deals... Can it?

The recent hours have witnessed a new development regarding the financial crisis that Al-Nassr club is suffering from during the current summer transfer window.

Press reports had revealed a huge financial crisis that Al-Nassr is suffering from, subjecting it to strict financial restrictions before concluding any deals, which has prevented it from signing any player so far.

The Saudi newspaper "Arriyadiyah" said on Friday that Al-Nassr has obtained the financial efficiency certificate that allows it to conclude new deals during the current summer transfer window.

However, the financial restrictions imposed on Al-Nassr are still in place for now, according to what the newspaper revealed, and the club hopes they will be lifted in the next few hours to conclude new deals.

The newspaper explained that the financial efficiency certificate gives Al-Nassr the opportunity to finalize new contract files and renew contracts of some players, provided they obtain final approval from the Financial Control Committee, affiliated with the Saudi League Association.

Al-Nassr fans are waiting for the announcement of the club's first deal during the current summer transfer window, which is Portuguese midfielder Samu Costa, who will join from Real Mallorca for 9 million euros.

Al-Nassr wants to strengthen its squad with more players in order to retain its title in the Saudi Roshn League, win the AFC Champions League Elite for the first time in its history, and compete for the King's Cup title.
